See the April issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine for an article about the Buddy Holly Guitar Foundation and the recreation of Mr. Holly’s 1943 Gibson guitar. Each recreated guitar will bear one fret from Mr. Holly’s original instrument.

The Foundation’s Board of Directors has selected eighteen artists each to receive a guitar for the purpose of raising funds for designated charitable organizations, and James Burton is one of the recipient artists. Each artist also chose a favorite Buddy Holly recording, and the title will be included on the guitar making each one unique. James chose Blue Days, Black Nights. Artists will receive the guitar for a two-year term, renewable at the option of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
