We are sad to report that Lola Poland Burton, James’ mother, passed away on 23 May 2011. Lola was born on 21 Nov 1914, and left a large, loving family to cherish her memory. For those wishing to express condolences, James asks that rather than flowers, please donate to the Foundation in her honor.
The James Burton Foundation supports music education for those in need through guitar donations and music instruction to schools, hospitals, and community service organizations.
